Parked last night at TA Beto Junction, wouldn't have made it down here yesterday anyway. A crazy thunderstorm rolled in later that night and made it pretty cozy in my can trying to sleep zzzz
Woke up after a 10 and drove the rest of the way down to Tyson in Hutchinson and delivered.
Now I'm at the Loves truckstop chilling and waiting for my next assignment.
It was good with a few hours at home before heading down here to pickup this load at interstate warehousing in Hamilton oh. Next is delivery at Walmart in Gas City in. Also had the stupid smartdrive camera installed yesterday.
Spent the Friday night on a tiny pilot truckstop just outside of Miami. Started early this morning at 5am, now at my second break on a rest area in Georgia.
Three more hours left on my clock, will park early so I can start early again tomorrow
Delivery is 1700 at Walmart in Mankato MN on Monday.
Got here early for my 1800 deliver appointment, but was told I didn't have an appointment so I went over to Pilot and spent a few hots there before they called me. They should work me in. At 20:00 they called and I went over there to get unloaded. About an hour later they were done and I could leave.
Finding a parking spot at this time around here is resist said than done so I ended up parked on one of the nearby streets after prowling the area for a while.
Now I'm back here again to pickup a load to Cheyenne WY, but first an A service in Salt Lake City UT.
Getting loaded up late at Heinz in San Diego I started rolling up I15 towards Los Angeles on Tuesday night. Parked at the Fontana yard around 23:00 local time.
Woke up next morning to beautiful weather, blue skies and pretty good temperature, but I had to leave it all behind. Weather was good all day even up in northern California, had a thirty minute break just south of Benton. (Picture).
After my break it started getting dark, but drove another four hours and parked here at TA in Mill City.
Just done with my delivery at Ryder in Rochelle IL. My appointment was at 0400 and I backed into a door then went to bed. At 0830 this morning they knocked on my door and told me they were ready to unload. Done at 11:00 which gives me 5 hour detention pay.
I was loaded up at Americold in Atlanta GA around 23:00 and rolled soon after I got my bills. Drove most of the night and took a 10 hour on a rest area in Illinois just across the Kentucky stateline. Picture is taken while driving next evening from the rest area. A beautiful sunset.
My next load will be over at Arzyta in Romeoville IL, going to Walmart in Washington Courthouse in Ohio.
The day ends here at Knight Transportation in Atlanta, GA after my delivery at Walmart In Brundidge AL.
Started this morning a little later than usual from Birmingham AL, drove 3 hours down to Brundidge for my 13:45 appointment at Walmart. This load was supposed to be picked up in Russellville AR on Saturday, but it wasn't ready before right after midnight.
My next load will be picked up tomorrow at 2100 from Americold here in Atlanta and will be going to Rochelle IL.
Made it to Flying J in Mandan ND. Mandan was founded in 1879 and is the eight largest city in North Dakota with a population of 18300.
The city was named after the historic Mandan indians in the area.
By making it here tonight means I'm on schedule for on time delivery at Walmart on wednesday. Even though I should have had my hometime started on Tuesday because of my dentist appointment on Wednesday.
We'll see how it goes, having it tcalled would be perfect.
Was a short day today, my 70 hour limit is on my back again. Drove about 5-6 hours from Petro Spokane to Town Pump/Flying J here in Butte.
About halfway, just after Wallace ID it started to snow and cover up the roads in the mountain area, but got soon better once I was down on the other side.
Tomorrow will be better, I'm gaining a full 11 hour and hopefully I'll make it to Flying J in Mandan ND.
A little late because I decided in the last minute to do an inspection on my truck at the Fontana yard, but there were no problems or delays at the receiver because of it so I'm good.
It's crazy tight and busy in here, probably one of the worst places I've been to. Now just got into a door and they start unloading me immediately. My next load is preloaded and being picked up in Rialto once I'm done here, then of to Wal-Mart in Hermiston OR.
It's a pretty hot day here in California today, need both my windows rolled down while I'm waiting. Pretty good for the middle of November :)
On my way back west now to Fontana California with a load I picked up in Amarillo from another driver. We just switched trailers, he didn't wanna go west and I didn't wanna go east just yet.
Now having my break at my watering hole here at the Flying J in Kingman AZ. I've got about 5 more hours to drive today. No stress, it's still early.
Then I'm here, first pickup of a total of three going to be delivered in Philadelphia on Tuesday, but not my me. It will be relayed so I can go back west for a week more.
Next stop will be back in Nogales, then the last in Maricopa. About 130 miles the opposite way.
Finally in Las Vegas and I'm doing a reset, but don't seem to be any office people here today which means there won't be a van to borrow. I've been driving night for the last two days and I was supposed to drop this trailer last night, but they didn't accept any drops before Sunday.
Drove up to TA at Blue Diamond to park, but it was already packed. Not really a surprise when it's 0100am Saturday morning. Even the paid parking was all taken or booked. Continued further up to North Las Vegas and parked at the yard. At least I got parked and Sam's club and In n'Out burgers are next door.
I got my load to Frito Lay delivered and dropped, then I spent most of the day at the Knight Transportation yard in Salt Lake City.
Headed up to Logan to pick up my next load to Walmart in Las Lunas NM. On my way up there it was pitch black and heavy rain.
The shipper was great and very friendly, I told them I was out of hours and they told me to drop the trailer at the door and they would load it while I took my sleeper berth. Woke up next morning and I was ready to roll.
The Bellingham load was done loaded on the truck at 20:00, so we just waited an hour more and did an 8+2 split then drove about 300 or so miles down to a rest area south of Richland OR.
Next day we was ready to drive around 13:00, but because of the 70 hour limit we didn't get more than 4,5 hours that day so we made it down to Boise. Took a small break there until past midnight, got more hours and drove from there and down to SLC at night. Temperature was all the way down in the low 30s.
Arrived at Albertsons a couple of hours before appointment time, checked in and was done unloaded at 08:00. At the time of arrival the 14 hour limit was done and we spent the remaining hours and completed a 10 hours rest break on a nearby Flying J.
After the rest break we had gained a few more hours to pickup our next load at Hersheys in Ogden. Now shutdown at a Pilot in Evanston WY.
I think I've come to the conclusion that Pennsylvania had to be one of the worst states to drive in.
Pine apples from Costa Rica to Columbus OH. The ship came in around 2200 and I checked in at 2330. Since all the pine apples has to be unloaded and inspected by US government its needless to say I was too early and my midnight appointment were going to be rescheduled. I went back to the truck parking lot on 33rd street which was a big unorganized mess, to sleep a few hours while I waited.
At 0400 they called me and I could come back and get loaded, sitting in line now waiting for a door at Del Monte.
After Walmart I went down here to the TA in Fultonville NY to sleep, I was so tired and exhausted. Can't remember when I felt so bad before lol. Anyway after a few hours sleep, a shower, some food from McDonalds and some pain pills I felt better. Suddenly this truck backed in next to me, shortly after came a police officer and done some kind of DOT check on him. Checking the lights, horn, brakes, wheels and everything.
Then I'm here at Americold in Ontario OR. Checked in at 1700 and waiting in the door now for them to start unloading me. The trip started in Hawthorne this morning and the weather was great, but it got slightly colder on my way up here. I have not received any preplans yet so once I'm done here I will park at the Pilot down the street until tomorrow. Crossing my fingers for a south or southwest load again. This cold makes me depressed lol
Then I'm in Hawthorne NV. Will stay here at the Golden Gate Plaza until tomorrow. Just a small town with a couple of gas stations. Have about 450 miles left. Appointment tomorrow afternoon at 18:00 in Ontario.
Now at Target in Rialto CA with Ice Cream from Henderson NV. Once I'm done here I'll be heading down to San Diego for a load to Americold in Ontario OR.
Now it's time for some food. It's not often you find Tim Horton on a truckstop but tonight I did. Woke up on the rest area near the SC and VA stateline. Drove from there to here, just a few miles from Detroit. I have no appointment for this load yet, so no stress. My DM will call me once he know tomorrow.
I reached Houston today. Was 2 hours short on my hours last night. Appointment at 2100 so no need to rush cause they wouldn't let me in earlier than 2030 anyway. I checked in around that time and was done at 2am. Went a couple of blocks to Budweiser and picked up a preloaded trailer to Wichita Falls. Just parked now on a small shady truckstop across the street from the brewery called Texas truckstop.
Loaded up a new load from Gaffney SC to Houston TX. On the picture some afternoon traffic jam in Atlanta GA. Now just done with my breakfast at Flying J in Hope Hull AL. I've got about 600 miles left and delivery is tomorrow the 13th at 2100.
Back to work after some time at home can be hard. The day started chaotic, but turned out pretty good anyway. I was northbound on 65 when I thought it was time to check my clock. Wow only 10 minutes left before my 30 minutes break. Was sure there was gonna be a violation, but 7 minutes ahead was a rest area!
Started early today from Flying J and drove down to my first stop in Enfield NC and delivered at 13:30. Thats about 24 hour early. Then I drove a few hours more and parked at Flying J in Latta SC. My last stop will be at US Cold Storage in Lake City tomorrow. Appointment time is unfortunately on the 12th, but hopefully they will let me deliver early.
Started early this morning to get my 2 stop load to Macys in Cheshire CT, got lucky and was told to drop the trailer on my first stop. No empty reefers there so I went over to my second stop anyway to look and found the one in the picture. It was pretty messed up and dirty, but otherwise fine, no damages. Now sitting at the TA Southington playing the waiting game again!
Went to Walmart in Smyrna DE today, then bobtailed back to the Carlisle yard to pick up an preloaded trailer going to Macys in CE. Runned out of hours to get there in time so I pulled off to a rest area here on I84. Will start at 0500am in the morning. Good night!!
Now at the Knight Transportation yard in Carlisle watching cartoons on tv. Have a preloaded trailer to Delaware in the morning. Then bobtail back.
Been sitting here at the TA in Bloomsbury since yesterday. Think I just passed 24 hours too. No load yesterday and nothing so far today! Hopefully something shows up soon cause this is boring and I'm not earning shit by sitting like this!
